Yep, another "argument" in the office with the staff. Simple question, is the name SKYLAR a boy's name or a girl's name. Can't say both, gotta pick.

I went with guy, just because of the half dozen or so folks I've known named "Skylar", I can only think of one that's been a girl.

I've never heard of a dude named Skylar....so I went with chick.

I default to female on the name Skylar.

Only know of one (although I think it may be spelled Skyler), and it's a girl.

For the record, my girls hate when I conduct a BGP poll. They claim I poll the jock club and the answers are skewed because we are all dudes. I have to explain that there are several very well informed chicks on the site as well.:lol2:

I know more female Skylars (3) than I do male Skylars (2).

Ahhhhh, now that may be a game-changer. No idea how the names were spelled for the male Skylar's that I've encountered.

My gut reaction was to say "male". But it's close to a toss up.

Definitely a chick name, not even a discussion.

 

And Doc, lots of peeps can't stand reality when they live in their own little bubble.

Excellent books by Gregory Mcdonald (same guy that wrote the Fletch books) featuring Skylar Whitfiend. First time I ran across the name was when I read them in the late '90s .
