That said, I had no idea that "Louisville is not Kentucky" is apparently a thing some from Louisville say.

I have never met a Louisvillian who says that. I have met people wearing blue "Louisville does not exist" t-shirts, prompted by their basketball passions, however.

I am confused. This is from the CJ article on the ban:

My point is Kentucky should not base laws on what appeases politicians in Cali.

You have absolutely no idea how tourism works, specifically convention business.

In this case, you could not be more incorrect. Convention &Tourism is not commodity based, nor is "need" based. It is absolutely discretionary. You do not know this industry.

It always makes me laugh when I hear people refer to Lexington or Louisville as NKY.

 

With that said I've been down in Greenville, KY all week and will be down here next week too. Just wrapping up a long drive to Sherwood guns in Bowling Green. I forget how nice of an area Bowling Green is and how open and quiet the roads of rural KY can be. We got a little turned around heading back from Bowling Green and took the backroads back. A lot of beautiful land out there, some nice folks too.

So you can say I don't know but I do take Consulating fees if your company or others in Louisville need help. This isn't doomsday it is political. It is interesting that people are indignant about these comments. How often has it been said by those in other parts of the state that they would be fine if we were part of Indiana. Lexington is new to this game though.

I don't question your knowledge on the industry you are obviously an intelligent woman. My point is if my sales division took this attitude I would clear house. If you want to say the law creates obstacles then fine. But it does not mean you can not be a trend setter and a market leader by being creative.

I live in Owensboro and I don't consider it to be in southern Kentucky. But that being said I can get to Nashville in about half the time it takes me to get to Covington, so I could see the argument. It all depends on your perspective. Some might argue that El Paso is on the northern border of Texas.
