Pretty easy question for some, pretty tough for others.

Flexible scheduling. If I get here at 7:30, I can leave at 4:30pm. Or they allow me to work a little extra some weeks if I have something going on and need to dip out early a certain day.

 

Plenty of other things, but I think that might be #1.

Retired now...so the highlight now is selecting which cereal I'm having for breakfast :lol2:

 

When I worked

The first 25 years it was merchandising...selecting, ordering and selling merchandise.

The last 5 years or so it was conducting both internal and external investigations and the follow up interviews (interrogations).

Flexibility.

Working from home allows me to take care of things during the day if I need to. Came in handy when the kids were in school. No commute is a big plus!

We work half days on Friday. I leave Thursday nights for the lake. Have calls forwarded to my cell phone and work from there till 1 or so. Than hit the water. We stayed last night. Hooked the laptop up to a hot spot on worked on the way home.

If I had to pick something other than quitting time it would be when I close the books for the month. Once the books are closed I am able to pick up on other more interesting projects/analysis.

Some of the goofy stories and political whining I can't help but hear (some days quite entertaining) from coworkers. And getting paid.

 

Also, had retired from being Department Head at my old job. Now have a part time job where I'm not responsible for anyone but myself, HEAVEN.

Get to listen to 80's hair bands all day long as I deliver packages.

Driving cars I can't afford at the day job and being out of the office most of job #2.
