BGP QOTD: What is an album or song that you really hate from a band you really like?

American skin (41 shots) Leave your politics at home Bruce.

Eh Hee - Dave Matthews Band. Big fan of hearing them start it when I'm seeing them live because that means I can safely go to bathroom or get a new beer without missing anything good.

Just about every good 70's band that tried to remain relevant by conforming to the 80's MTV era pretty much cheese balled me out except for maybe a few bands like Yes. They abandoned what they did best, and commercially pop-polished themselves up.

Nothing wrong with the 80's sound as many great bands established themselves in that era, and I understand how some bands wanted to change with the times, but it was embarrassing to watch bands like Chicago, ZZ Top, Jeffereson Starship, Heart, America, or Aerosmith to name a few suck up to record company demands and produce cringe worthy offerings that at times barely resembled who they were to begin with.

I realize that for some it was their first introduction to some of these bands, so to them it was their prime material, yet those who watched them so drastically lose their element of cool, it was so hard not to want to throw up while seeing them prostitute themselves out to the music industry.

Number 1 cringe worthy tune from a band that I had initially somewhat liked.

I love this song

Same here!

Though she has forever enjoyed what she has monetarily reaped from the song, when originally presented with the song, Starship vocalist Grace Slick absolutely hated it.

In other words she sold out.

Yes she did hate it, but.....

Yes she did hate it, but.....

That's cool if you dig it.

I recall initially being eager to hear the new Starship tune when MTV first played it, but was left saying "What the hell was that"?....then I thought "Well maybe it'll grow on me" ,but really it just grated on me...LOL

I love this song

I don't know you any more.

For me -

Old Fashioned Love Song - Three Dog Night

Rocket Man - Elton

But you love We Built This City? You're a complex creature, Maniac.
