Unlike the SOS, POTUS can declassify information at will. Concerning that the topic of the meeting was ISIS, a concern for both parties, I would be shocked if previously classified information was not shared between between BOTH parties. Where was the outrage when HRC put classified information into the public domain? The fact that Comey choose not to prosecute is a big reason he is out of a job.

It's absolutely unsettling IMO that our POTUS would do this, however it is important to note that he has the authority and power to declassify whatever information he so chooses and doesn't need permission from anyone.

The issue, as your initial sentence gets to, has nothing to do with the rights of his actions. We're not talking legalities.

 

He was bragging to Russia as to what intelligence he has access to. He never once considered the ramifications of sharing said info.

Not to me. I don't view this as any different than any other bad policy decision a POTUS makes.

No... but do we really know what they were discussing in that meeting? Or do we only know the spin off version of what the media has portrayed was discussed in that meeting? I am skeptical yes but I will wait to pass judgement.

Had the right to fire Comey. Did so for questionable reasons and in a brutally ham-handed manner where his spokespeople were cut off at the knees after lying for him BY HIM. Results in, at best, a STRAINED relationship with the FBI.

Our security will be lessened because of not getting this intel.

The Democrats are embarrassed that they lost this election. The old school Republicans are embarrassed they lost this election.

 

This has been a total embarrassment for our country in a lot of ways. We cant do anything either way for fighting the other side. I am so tired of it. Every move is dissected under a microscope by keyboard cowboys who dont have a good understanding of their day job, much less the business of our country. Every job is dissected by reporters who flat out are biased one way or another. ( These news organizations need to be hacked and the internal memos uncovered).

 

Our country is a great nation. However we as a whole are destroying it from within. And I said "We".
