Yes, that is a letter from Gahndi to Hitler.

 

Is this for real? Why is the letter written in English? I would have expected German.

 

Perhaps Gandhi didn't know German and Hitler didn't know Hindi (or whatever Indian dialect Gandhi may have spoken) so he used a language he knew and figured Hitler would know or could easily have translated. I don't know the answer to this but am speculating.

Gandhi was very fluent in English. He was a British trained lawyer from a nation that was colonized by Britain. It was his attempt to reach to Hitler to end the war.
