@Science Friction, this one's for you. Thank you for starting this cool thread, and Happy Independence Day to all BGPers!

From Post #759, to answer the third and last unanswered question - "As a group they became known as... 'The Class the Stars Fell On'."

Of the 164 graduates that year, 59 (36%) attained the rank of general, more than any class in the history of the USMA ..., hence the expression. - The class the stars fell on - Wikipedia

Thank you for contributing to the thread. You are very good. I'm sorry that I misread the post. I totally overlooked that you were asking a question. My fault. Really cool picture. I'll try to post a couple new ones soon.

Happy Fourth to you, sir!!!

Pure guess, Col. Custer's flag from Little Bighorn?

J-Dad, correct on all of the first three.

116. 9-11

117. Moon landing

118. Iwo Jima

Good guess on the fourth one as well. It's actually the Battle of Manassas flag. Union soldiers reportedly carried it during the Battle of Bull Run in August of 1862.
