And you sir are also right

No team will ever be a legit contender without a transfer or move in on the team. Elliot Co. and Mason Co. years ago may have been the last of pure homegrown talent era.

Scott High School? They were one point away from the state championship game this past season. Not sure of any transfers on that team that I can recall? Believe almost all of them came up through the pipelines.

Kelly Wells doing that had no bearing on Miller at all in regards to Varsity status.

I might not be 100% correct on this, but I had heard that Kelly Wells reasoning for putting Darius Miller in game at the end of the 2004 State Championship Game (he was an 8th grader that year) was so he would have to sit out a year if he decided to transfer someplace else. Did KHSAA do something to change that or was it just false information on my end?

I know this is a boys thread but Mercer girls just won the state tournament with all Mercer Co. girls! Is this transfer thing worse on the boys side vs the girls side?

YES.

I think they had a transfer either from Holmes, Newport or maybe even Holy Cross. Does Pouncey sound right from you NKY guys?? Not sure exactly, but I believe Scott High had at least one transfer on their 2017 Final Four team.

It's hard to get to the Sweet 16 without a transfer on your team. I don't agree with it, but it is true.

Didn't seygan robbins transfer to Mercer county from Tennessee her 8th grade season?

Lol! No Seygan Robins is the neice of the head coach and was born and raised in Mercer County!

Negative. The Pouncy kid went to Woodland which is the middle school on the same campus as Scott. If anything, they had kids leave and go to other schools rather than Scott.

If you want some entertainment check out the Girls Basketball Forum and any thread with GRC.

I new she was Souder neice but for some reason I was thinking she transferred to Mercer County from Tennessee guess I was wrong.

I hope they win the region and he averages 25ppg. The river of tears will flow then. We will have to break out the waders to read a GRC thread.
