April 19, 20179 yr Go to Campanello's downtown. Inexpensive, great authentic Italian, and you can park downtown, walk to dinner, and then walk to the stadium. Try the Lasagna.

April 19, 20179 yr It's. even a long time since I've been to Campanella's, but the food is really, really good from what I remember. Much better than Carraba's or any other chain. However, the owner was exceptionally rude to me several times to me while I was trying to do business with him, and I just can't drop that grudge. I'm partial to Pompillio's because my wife's cousin is one of the owners. I don't know what it used to be like because I'm not from around here, but I do think the food is solid.
April 19, 20179 yr I think Fazoli's is good. :lol2: I'm a high class kinda guy. I like eating at Fazoli's, and I'm good paying $7 or whatever for some lasagna, just don't like paying $15 at OG for food that isn't any better than I could get at Fazoli's.
April 19, 20179 yr I think the food at Pompilios is very average. Its claim to fame is the toothpick scene from Rain Man was filmed there. I have to agree with this. I have been there a few times and thought the same thing.

That said, Italian food is not only just about the easiest to make at home, but the least expensive. And if sticking to true Italian roots, the healthiest. But, since he's travelling, you can't go wrong @LRCW , with any of the recommendations

But, since he's travelling, you can't go wrong @LRCW , with any of the recommendations Sotto in downtown Cincy has managed to make Italian expensive.
