Which Carrabba's location is closest to GABP?

Featured Replies

Do you like Carrabba's?

I do. I was trying to think of a non chain Italian restaurant close to the ball park to recommend, but nothing is coming to mind. Pompilios is a neat place, their food is fine, and it is close to the ball park. It is kind of like Jim's Steak and Spaghetti in Columbus (only the food isn't that good).

If you like it, go for it, but if you're looking for Italian, go to Pompelio's in Newport. It's a lot closer to the stadium and the food is much better and more authentic.

Popelio's IMO has gone downhill over the last several years. Used to be like you said, but last few times there, it was nothing special. I was told it had to do with the son taking over or something like that.

I'd say that's fair, as it used to be better than what it is now. I guess my overall point is if I have the choice between a chain joint and an authentic place, I'm going with the authentic place every time.

Another authentic place close to the stadium is Buona Vita

It's known for their pizzas, but the other stuff is mighty tasty as well.

It has been a while since I ate at Pompilios. The two things I really liked on their menu when I ate there more frequently were their tortellini and the antipasta salad.

If you want Authetic Italian you have to go to Olive Garden....

Pompilio's has gone way downhill so don't go there. Personally, I like Carrabba's and the Crestview location is very nice.

Brio is at the Levee and in my opinion, very similar to Carrabas.

You forgot the sarcasm emoji.

Agreed on Brio, it's probably the most pricey of the ones mentioned.

My wife loves Olive Garden, but I agree that the sarcasm emoji was needed. IMO it's just a more expensive way to eat Fazoli's food. Not that the food is bad per say, it's just not worth what you pay for it. I love Carrabba's. I get the spiedino di mare almost every time.

Yes! Yes! Yes! Brio is where it's at. But it's definitely more expensive than anything else we've named.

It was implied.

I think Fazoli's is good. :lol2: I'm a high class kinda guy.
