Those folks working in the prisons are trained for these types of things, right? They aren't supposed to just let prisoners kill themselves and I'm sure they all receive some sort of training to identify all qualities of suicidal tendencies. If he was murdered then it was likely an inside job and if they can't prove it right away then they have to say it was suicide. On top of that they're saying he didn't seem suicidal and he didn't leave a note but not one person saw suicidal tendencies in him? Maybe he did kill himself and maybe he kept all of his demons completely and totally to himself despite the fact that things were looking up for him and he was closer now than ever before to clearing his name. Maybe he had everyone fooled again but this sure seems awfully fishy and I am hesitant to trust those in power over this situation when they have more to lose than anyone else in this situation.

 

I used to be a corrections officer, so I may be able to help out a little bit here. Yes, corrections officers are trained, somewhat, to know what to look for in terms of things out of the ordinary, but there is way more to that than anyone could know. If you stripped every inmate that showed some sign of depression every time they did it you would have every inmate in a solitary cell in a suicide gown. It is prison, people get upset and depressed from time to time, but not everyone shows suicidal tendencies, they just have an off day. Also, they are not under minute by minute observation when in custody. If they are in general population, they may be checked on every 45 minutes - 1 hour, and if they are in solitary or whatever it is much more frequent, say 15-20 minutes. There is plenty of time for an inmate to carry out whatever they want to do in prison especially if they are there long enough and get to know the officers routines. They teach you to switch up your routine, but not everyone does that. Are there bad corrections officers? Of course, just like any job. But corrections officers are not therapists, they are there to keep the jail safe and adhere to the policies of the facilities. You can't watch every inmate every minute, just physically impossible.

I think he murdered him too don't get me wrong. But now there isn't as a clear of a motive to kill Lloyd since he was acquitted on the other murder charges. Wasn't it assumed by the prosecution that Hernandez killed Lloyd because he knew about the other murders? Now with the motive thrown out going into the appeals process any case the prosecution made about Hernandez killing Lloyd to keep him quiet is invalid and I could see the case being thrown out. I'm not an attorney so take what I say with a grain of salt, but it was just my gut feeling when he was acquitted.

I mean if they are lying to us then that's a whole other issue. But assuming they aren't lying then there is no way he didn't commit suicide if he was barracaded inside.

Researchers are going to look at his brain for signs of CTE.

Dude who had it all, loses everything, going to spend the rest of his life in prison commits suicide and people think it wasn't truly a suicide. :ohbrother:
