If you want to type OMG in a text, that's fine. Saying it is annoying.

I'm not sure this qualifies, but I hate when people write "of" instead of "have."

There are a bunch of sports phrases I hate, especially in baseball. "On the bump", "at the dish", are neither cute, witty or funny. Also fans please don't tell the pitcher "you gotta throw strikes" or the batter "we need a hit". In football lineman do not need to be told to block, and defensive players don't need to hear "you gotta tackle". These a basics of the game and really don't need to be said 1000 times a game by fans, and doing so will not improve performance of the players.

We had a former boss who used the term "piggyback" all the time on meetings; so my boss and I try to throw it in a conversation whenever possible.

The one that chafes me the most is, "If they want to win, they need to...".

 

Of course they want to win (unless it's late in the season and they're jockeying for position in the draft). Should be, "If they're going to win...".

To piggyback off that one, dovetail gets annoying when people use it incessantly as a way to segue.
