April 14, 20179 yr One and not done got me thinking....who deserves the term college basketball blue blood? Obviously UK, UNC, UCLA, Kansas and Duke deserve this title. Should IU, U of L, Michigan State get this title as well? Other? Thoughts?
April 14, 20179 yr I think the 5 you mentioned are about it. Louisville is very good, no knock there but just not the same "tradition" in my opinion and IU has been irrelevant for to long, imo. Michigan State has been strong but for how long? I don't know that they are a blue blood as compared to a really solid, top 10 program in the country

There are 5-10 others on the outside of this (Michigan State, Syracuse, Arizona), but I wouldn't call them blue bloods. Louisville is a somewhat recent addition. The third title, in my opinion, put them into the group.

April 14, 20179 yr What if it gets taken away? Does that knock them off your list? That's a good question. I'd probably say no, just because I never think about vacated titles/runners-up, etc. but that would at least give a little pause.

April 14, 20179 yr I don't have a problem calling Arizona, Syracuse and Michigan State Blue Bloods but I get why people are hesitant to call them Blue Bloods. Definitely the 7 previously mentioned are Blue Bloods.
