April 11, 20179 yr I hope they go bankrupt now. Won't happen and I'm sure the thousands of employees they have hope it doesn't. C'mon man, knee jerk reaction much.
April 11, 20179 yr This incident did create some great tweets. One said something like "On United your first carry-off is free."
April 11, 20179 yr Considering his uncooperative nature, and his reaction of screaming like a little girl, if he were my doctor I think I would reconsider having him in charge of my healthcare.
April 11, 20179 yr I saw a video (and maybe someone posted it in this thread) of the guy coming back onto the plane. He certainly didn't seem to be "all there." (apologies if this has already been discussed)
April 11, 20179 yr So was he knocked out or what? I can't figure out why he was playing dead when he was being drug from the plane.
April 11, 20179 yr I saw a video (and maybe someone posted it in this thread) of the guy coming back onto the plane. He certainly didn't seem to be "all there." (apologies if this has already been discussed) Right after I posted the above I came across these two videos on Twitter. ‘Just kill me’: Disturbing new video shows removed United passenger with his face covered in blood
April 11, 20179 yr I disagree with you there. The man was doing nothing wrong. He paid for that seat and had every expectation to sit there. The Airlines should have kept raising their financial incentive to get off, especially if it was for flying vouchers (not real money any way). Everyone has a price and I bet it wouldn't have taken much more for some to give up their seats. It would have cost less in the long run. I don't disagree with a thing you said but none of it matters. They didn't offer more money and decided it was draw time. At that point it doesn't matter if you are right or wrong. It's their plane and if they want you offer it's time to go. Especially when 3 police officers are telling you it's time to go.
April 11, 20179 yr So was he knocked out or what? I can't figure out why he was playing dead when he was being drug from the plane. You need to download the first hour of Matt Jones show from today. The guy that took the video showing him coming back on the plane called in. Said it looked like to him the guy was knocked out.
April 11, 20179 yr The officer who dragged the man off the plane has been suspended. LINK They said he was put on leave, bit of a difference. Kind of like being placed on administrative leave after a law enforcement encounter in which an investigation is pending. At least that's what the article you posted states.
April 11, 20179 yr Heard the same last night when this came out, still don't understand why they would announce that. Honesty is the best policy, that is unless you announce paid passengers are being removed by non revenue passengers.
April 11, 20179 yr Honesty is the best policy, that is unless you announce paid passengers are being removed by non revenue passengers. Having seen first hand what trillion dollar companies do. Honesty may be the best policy but presentation can go a long way. IMO this was handled poorly from the beginning. Will be interesting to see if the employees that needed this flight for the following flight were always scheduled to be on the flight the incident occurred on. I know you are familiar with the airline industry, I'm sure you've heard some stories.
April 11, 20179 yr Airlines expert said less than 5% of the flight coupons get used. I've gotten them twice and used them twice! This guy loves free stuff!
