Did the larger court help, hurt or have no effect on Cooper? Does Cooper have anyone who will play in college?

No effect, they played at NKU for the regionals and at least one other time. They may have played several more times on others, I am not sure. Hendrix is playing football at Indiana State and I think McNeil is headed to Bellermine

This BG/ Cooper game feels eerily similar to Scott Co. vs Cov Cath in the '14 state final. I originally picked BG to beat Cooper in the sweet 16 challenge but idk anymore.

It's a credit to the coaches and players that they are so good without having all the glamorous talent.

Great win, Jags!

Let's not act like Cooper has a bunch of average Joes. They have two players that are very talented and will play high D2 and/or higher.

Sullivan is tremendous. That said, Adam Kunkel is a D-I prospect and Braden Runyon is tremendously under-rated. Cooper is very talented.

Cooper/BG should be a great game. Both teams have great guard play and can make shots. Cooper is very hard to turn over, BG is very hard to stop in the half court.

Two very similar teams, and both played tough games tonight.

Easy to say "Cooper beat CovCath, and CovCath beat BG" - but it's never that easy. No clear advantage to either team.

I will say this - BG can't let Cooper control tempo. Cooper plays very well with a lead, and won't let BG stretch a lead.

I think this game is played in the low 60s, which favors Cooper.

Jags in a nail biter...

Congrats to Cooper, way to represent the 9th Region and NKY........now bring the ultimate prize back home.

I asked, and was told by multiple ushers that it is a high school sized court. I thought it was larger but looking at the UK logo in relation to the top of the key, I believe they are correct.

Hey experts, are you surprised yet? Defense is the foundation of Cooper and so when the experts post things like they will lose by 12-15 points, can't do this and can't do that and haven't beaten such and such Cooper Fans will lap that stuff up all day. Our boys just show up and play hard as evident tonite. On to the next one.

Mr Usher was wrong. 10 feet longer.

Cooper has it all. Talented, hard working players and great coaching. They are a state finals caliber team and it's no fluke that they will play for the championship tomorrow.

Teams always work out on college size courts in preparation for a bigger court. At least it was always on the college floor in the past.

I have always thought so as well, seeing it in person, I now have doubts.

Cooper has talent.

Hendrix is a D1 athlete.

McNeil had a couple MAC schools trying to take a run at him late and even watched him as late as December even though he was committed to Bellarmine.

Kunkel has D1 offers and will likely blow up this summer playing with Romeo Langford and Darius Garland on the Adidas Gauntlet circuit.

Add in kids like Brayden Runion and Chris McNeil who are really good high school players and it is easy to see why Cooper is playing for a state championship.

Sully is a great coach but he will be the first to tell you he has some really good talent which makes his job easier, but his team's attitude and willingness to do whatever is asked of them is a big reason they are so good. They are a very calm team and don't get rattled easily.
