Using past trends and metrics ESPN attempts to predict the National Champion in this video.

Now we are talking!

Love this time of year!!!! The NCAA tournament is the best sporting event period.

The interesting part about that video is that all of the criteria they are using are legit. (And I'm not saying that just because I'm a UK fan!)

KSR had a caller this morning who suggested ranking the teams 1-68. then in order the teams got to pick what region they wanted to be in.

According to everyone's favorite predictive website, fivethirtyeight, there is a 47% chance that the Champion will come from Nova (15%), Kansas (10%), Gonzaga (14%), and Kentucky (8%). 53% for the other 64 teams.

I think they are underestimating UNC. I know UK beat them, but it took Monk being absolutely on fire to do it. Don't think it will happen again.

It looks to me like the most popular pick on ESPN to cut down the nets are UNC and UCLA. This is good news for UK.

Jackson and Berry also combined for 57 on 32 shots. It's not like Monk was the only one who had a great game. Jackson alone had 34 on 17 shots.

Not to mention Luke Maye hitting 2 three balls to cut a 10 point lead to 4! I think he's made 1 since.

Has UK ever been in a bracket that you didn't think was the toughest?

It's funny, somehow every year Duke ALWAYS gets the easiest road to the Final Four too.

This year is no exception either ;)

Oh I know, I'm writing a strong worded letter to the committee complaining that Duke isn't in the same bracket as Gonzaga.

I disagree with that this year. I think they have the 2nd toughest bracket.

I know you were being sarcastic but I don't see where people can say that this year. Their first two games should be no problem but after that it gets tough.

They can't say either of those things most years, but they do.

Yeah, doesn't look like an easy road to me!
