March 8, 20179 yr John is a great coach and great recruiter and is the right guy I just hope he stays and NKU can figure a way to keep him. How much will NKU make from their appearance in the tournament? Do they make extra money for winning the Horizon League? Whatever they make, they should share a big chunk of it with John Brannen as incentive to keep him.

Whatever they make, they should share a big chunk of it with John Brannen as incentive to keep him. How it all plays out down the road eventually in my head.... Couple years down the road Rick Pitino retires, Chris Mack takes the UofL job, Xavier hires away Coach Brannen from NKU and Travis Steele gets the NKU job. Most likely none of that happens, but seems to be good fits all around and would mean NKU has sustained success under Brannen.

March 8, 20179 yr Will give me flashbacks of their exhibition game in the Fall of 2008. The one that opened the new arena on NKU's campus. As an NKU student, even though the Norse lost, was such a fun game. I came up for that game. It was a great time.

March 9, 20179 yr Sadly, when the NKU men arrived back on campus today, there was nobody to greet them except for a handful of cops (at least one of which was their bus escort), some trainers and some doormen. Spring break did make parking at NKU a lot easier today, though. I didn't even realize what was going on until I saw some player I did not totally recognize (thought it was Holland) lugging what appeared to be the championship trophy in the arena door.
