March 9, 20179 yr Sadly, when the NKU men arrived back on campus today, there was nobody to greet them except for a handful of cops (at least one of which was their bus escort), some trainers and some doormen. Spring break did make parking at NKU a lot easier today, though. I didn't even realize what was going on until I saw some player I did not totally recognize (thought it was Holland) lugging what appeared to be the championship trophy in the arena door. I saw several videos that said otherwise. I was pretty impressed with the size of the crowd. It's tough when you come back in the middle of people's work days and when the students are on Spring Break. The majority of those that get very involved on campus are typically Greek and all on a beach somewhere.

Looked like the bus pulled up and let them out right in front of it. Maybe Jim saw them entering BB&T arena after they hard been welcomed home elsewhere on campus?

Either way, a completely false and untrue statement that would've taken all of maybe 5 seconds to disprove.

Comments - that was channel 19s Facebook live post but all local media was there covering it too. This is a really odd post. There's trying to rile people up, then there's blatantly making stuff up. March 9, 20179 yr Last night was not indicative of how this team plays. They normally play about 9 guys, and all get significant minutes, and there's little drop off. Last night, both teams went down fighting with their best five guys, and they were gassed. Williams played 35 minutes (averages 24/game); I doubt there's been a game all year he's played 30. Murray played 36, averages 28. And it was their third game in 3 games. Heavy legs. Brannen "danced with the girl he brung". Not sure he subbed the last eight minutes. Kudos. That said, they're not beating UK/UL, but they play crisper than what you saw. You are right. But I'm sure Brannen thought I'm going with my best and won't have to second guess myself. They didn't shoot nearly as well as they usually do, but they were exhausted.

You missed it. They came back to Griffin Hall where they were met by several hundres people, and then went inside for some speeches. You probably saw them an hour after they got back.

March 10, 20179 yr NKU has taken an awfully lot of shots on this board the past several years. It sure is nice to see them on top of the world for a few days. It won't end when they loose in the NCAA. This just sets the stage for next year and hopefully years to come. A D1 team from NKU can win.
