Cal has to figure out a at to get Monk to play with as much confidence on the road as he does at home.

I agree. It's a good thing they don't have anymore road games then. All neutral courts, which is basically like home games. As we saw with his 47 points against North Carolina, he seems to have confidence at neutral sites like he does at home.

Glad to get this part of the season over. SEC regular season action has been brutally ugly. Now on to the next season. Maybe the Cats will be more engaged and excited about tournament action.

I think it is more about energy than confidence. Monk went through the motions today. He was slow on his shot. When he has that slow methodical release on his shot, he shoots a low percentage. He needs to play with energy, be quick and get lift. That is when he hits shots.

I think the one thing we have learned about this UK team the last few games, is when they play teams who want to slow it down we need to pressure 94ft. It isn't about turnovers or even if we give up a few easy buckets. This team plays with more energy and it forces the tempo in our favor.

On another note Cats started 3/16 from the field and then went 23/43. Briscoe with 8 asst and only 1 turnover, Monk only scores 6, Hawkins with great energy, Willis hit some big shots, Fox shook some rust, Bam stayed out of foul trouble, Humphries scored, Cats win. Ill take it

Yet MR. Inconsistency Monk had another no show game today. Not a half but the entire game. Not sure he made a shot that was not a dunk. Does he know we have no more home games?

Hmmm first game in single digits all year. He averages over 20 a game. I think that is the highest per game average at UK under Cal. He is shooting 42% on the year from the three point line. I'm sorry but that is not inconsistent. I guess he needs to have 47 point games every game where he is hot as can be in both halfs like he was against North Carolina.

Which also this is the last true road game of the year for this team. They now will be neutral site games the rest of the year. Which is basically home games with our fans. We seen he does pretty well in neutral site games too.

It's just funny to me when people choose to complain about our best offensive players game. It's like people think it's possible to go through hot streaks when he never misses every game all game long. Which in fact even in games when he doesn't get crazy hot, he still usually gets us around his 20 points a game. That is not inconsistent.

Yes but if the sluggish starts continue the tournament runs will be short.

True. If UK plays like they did in January early February it will be short too. Cal and the team were able to figure out how to fix that, and I expect this will get fixed too. That's why I said I am glad it's happened now and not in the tournament.

I think Cal tried to fix the slow starts today by starting Willis. So I do think he is trying to fix it and for me no reason to think it won't be fixed.
