UKMustangFan
Dad went into the hospital yesterday morning for a routine stress test and EKG because he had had some minor discomfort in his chest while exercising recently. Results of that and a subsequent angiogram showed that he has at least 3 blockages (2 of which they said are completely blocked and have been for some time) and they're talking about bypass surgery. Dad's young (59), in good health, and never had any heart related issues so this whole thing is a pretty big shock to all of us. As of last night it seemed the plan was to do the surgery on Monday (not sure why the long wait). Typical of my Dad, his biggest three concerns are who's going to take care of his dog, what he's going to do to pass the time from now till surgery, and if he'll be able to watch the Kentucky game on Saturday. :lol2: I'd appreciate any positive thoughts, prayers, etc., you all could send his way. HammerTime
Best of luck! Father in law just got out of the hospital with a similar scare. Surgery wasn't needed at this time so got lucky.

Voice of Reason
Prayers out for your dad and family. The good news is the doctors and hospitals have this procedure finely tuned.
OlDog75
You say he's in good health otherwise at 59. I think that's a good start. Get him in, get those blockages cleared so he can play with that grandson for many many years. Prayers and good thoughts for your Dad, you and the family from the Dog house.
