What is your criteria for giving a dislike?

There are a lot more likes given than dislikes, so there must be a difference in what determines when you give a like vs a dislike.

Regarding dislikes....

I give them when I'm too lazy to have a debate typically.

There's also the few and far between times that something is just ridiculously outrageous and isn't worth a comment.

I've only given a handful of dislikes, so no real guidelines for me...most have been just to give someone a hard time.

I'm pretty free with my likes, if a post makes me laugh it get's a like. After that mostly just if I'm agreeing with a comment.

That's not how this works, that's not how any of this works!

I've never hit dislike on a post. If I disagree with it strongly enough I'll respond, if it's not worth a response I ignore it.

I'm not too stingy with likes, but generally like posts I strongly agree with or make a good point. Before the like system I would've commented to give them a thumbs up.

I never give a dislike unless someone gives me a dislike. Then I retaliate, regardless of what they've posted.

I'm not sure I've ever given a dislike; if I laugh while reading something automatic like.

I rarely give dislikes either. If I do, it is not because I disagree with a particular position. It is more about the exhibition of really bad behavior through the written word.

I tend to give likes when I agree with something. I've only given dislikes to a post that agrees with the posters dislike of something. Awkward for me to post a like when someone posts something like "I have cancer" that gets a dislike.

FYI, I'm waiting for @Clyde reasoning :lol2:

I never give a dislike unless someone gives me a dislike. Then I retaliate, regardless of what they've posted.

Bam! Take that!

I never give a dislike unless someone gives me a dislike. Then I retaliate, regardless of what they've posted.

Well played.....

Some people aren't even worth a dislike...

I've never given a dislike and I don't plan to. I think it's juvenile and petty.

I've been told I have 0 credibility so i will dislike the mess out of whomever I feel like disliking.

" What difference at this point does it make?"
