Likes and Dislikes

Featured Replies

I never give a dislike unless someone gives me a dislike. Then I retaliate, regardless of what they've posted.

I'm sure you saw THAT coming a mile away.

I don't think I have ever given a dislike. Likes are for making me laugh, having something to say I agree with or having a good argument whether I agree or not. I wish there was an automatic sarcasm button. Some take everything literally.

Yeah, well I liked your dislike.

I like that.

Does BGP track dislikes? I know we had threads in the past about who has the most likes and has given the most likes.

Until this feature went away, I think I was the stingiest with "likes," with somewhere around 5 or 6 total. I think I did have a weak week (yes, I meant it that way) where I doled out two likes in one week. You should feel far more proud if I give you a thumbs-up, like Clyde noted (and he's far stingier than he leads on).

Not sure I've ever done a dislike. If I did, it wasn't on purpose.

I've given a few dislikes recently.

Something I rarely give is a "Thanks". Tend to give a "like" instead.

I've never hit dislike on a post. If I disagree with it strongly enough I'll respond, if it's not worth a response I ignore it.

I'm not too stingy with likes, but generally like posts I strongly agree with or make a good point. Before the like system I would've commented to give them a thumbs up.

I have given a dislike or two, but besides that this post describes my approach also. When I am tempted to give a dislike, I usually think about it then decide not to. Dislikes just seem to be a waste of time and energy that have little value.

Likes on the other hand are like a pat on the back or a smile that bring good will. I often give them out.

I have purposely not liked posts by Clyde because he made it clear he doesn't care about them.

D

I do that all the time. Just have to wait three seconds and hit the button again and they go away. :lol2:

I didn't realize I had done it untill the poster questioned me on it......:lol2:

Funny, well thought out, and good-spirited posts get likes.

Cross words about LeBron or puppies get dislikes.

Resolving an issue or just being a helpful person gets a thanks.

Don't think I ever use the Thanks button. And no cuss words from me about Lebron and as long as you keep your puppy from barking all day long or from pooping in my yard all will be good.

My puppies will only be pooping on the plush lawn at "The Compound."

Oh, it's like that! Gotta go personal. Well, I hate puppies too! :lol2:

I was triggered!
