11th and 12th in the first round for the third time in the last four years.

the 12th has 1-2 record maybe they will get to .500

the 12th has 1-2 record maybe they will get to .500

and in both years the 11th region won, they ended up winning the State.

lol love that mindset as a 12th region fan.

If Bowling Green saw the 12th region rep in the quarters, they'd probably ask themselves how they ever got so lucky.

It's not offense to the 12th and fine teams like Pulaski County, but teams like Scott County and Lexington Catholic are going to be viewed as bigger threats to the Purples.

13th Region has a good draw as well. Paris and Corbin this upcoming weekend could be some foreshadowing.

Yes it could. Will be watching the outcome of this game.

Gotcha. I understand that.

Pulaski Co will have their hands full to get out of district, region... Just stated that because I don't see the 11/12th as necessarily a dream.

I think BG will face the 12th in round 2. I'm a 12th guy, so take that for what it's worth. That being said, I'm not sure there will be a better regional in the state than you will see from the 12th. IMO you have 4 really strong teams at the top, any one of which could win it. Not to mention a couple on down the standings, that could throw a wrench in things.

I bet Perry Central folks are happy with the draw.

14th has the best draw they've had in a while.

The only team in the 1st that I think has any chance against BG is Graves simply because of the size the Purples have, PT or Marshall would get killed on the glass and McCracken would have to have their best game of the season to play with BG. The 2nd/6th matchup should be great! Rooting for Hopkinsville to make a deep run and for Paducah Tilghman to make it back to Rupp for the first time since 2010.

When does the KHSAA set the times? I didn't realize they did that now. I thought the however the teams were drawn that was the time you played. So now the KHSAA picks the times did they start doing this when they moved the semis to night games and the final on Sunday?

Last year was the first year the KHSAA set the times. I believe they are set now. They only do this for the first round and the 4 team pods all play in the same session still.

Obviously just a guess, but I'd say game times will look like this:

Wednesday

Noon 15 vs. 14

1:30 4 vs. 1

6:30 11 vs. 12

8:00 10 vs. 13

Thursday

Noon 7 vs. 5

1:30 6 vs. 2

6:30 16 vs. 8

8:00 9 vs. 3

2

That doesn't list first round times. The quarterfinals, semifinals, and finals starting times are all locked in. First round times are typically decided a few days after the draw with starting times given to certain regions to maximize first round attendance.

While I expect them to lose in the quarters, the 14th has a legit shot at making their first State Semifinal appearance in over 30 years.

I was wondering why the KHSAA started doing that,......"to maximize first round attendance".

They must have felt they got positive results last year if they're doing it again.
