I can see why Ashley's speech would make a lot of men very uncomfortable. When the truth hits close to the home package , a man can be made to feel "uncomfortably numb."

You really should narrow that brush.

 

Speaking for me only, I have no problem with her message or that of the women protesting. Women should be treated equally, and they should stand up for their rights when they think they haven't been. I don't agree with some of the things they argue for under the guise of "women's rights", but I don't have a problem with them making their argument. That is democracy.

 

My issue is with the way the message was delivered and the methods used by some of the protesters. Same is true to a much larger degree with other anti-Trump protesters. The language, the vitriol, the "nasty" of these instances and the violence used in others does nothing but detract and it makes it really hard to listen to what they are trying to say, IMO.

Everyone is saying this is Ashley Judd rant, but those words were written by someone else. She only delivered them.

Immaterial as far as I'm concerned as she was the mouthpiece and she delived them. Did she acknowledge that or just pass it off as her own? If it is the latter, then somehow that seems even worse, less genuine.

That was a lot more than just impolite language. I'm not up in arms about it, but I find it vulgar and crude and disrespectful.

 

I'm not aware of any violence either, but the other anti-Trump protestors certainly have. No matter what the cause, the minute the riots and looting start, that is when I turn a deaf ear.

I do think if they really wanted to show unity they would of allowed the pro-life women to march as well. When they were denied it became partisan and not inclusive.

 

While I don't get the point in yesterday I do applaud the leaders of this march because as far as I can tell it was peaceful unlike the prior day of riots. I have no probomes with protests until violence occurs.

I have 2 problems with the March yesterday and neither has to do with what they are fighting for: 1) they excluded the pro life women, that is wrong on virtually every level IMO. 2) Madonna said she had thought about blowing up the White House. Obviously she isn't serious, but she still said it. Imagine if a prominent, conservative, male had said that while Obama was in office. She should be held accountable for her words.

I don't know maybe. There have been some extremely credible sources that say he does. Maybe. I don't know. Some of the best people will be looking into it.
