Anyone else have an opinion on this? Science sure as hell isn't going to have one since defending his views would actually require an effort to type more than one word.

This wage gap nonsense needs to die. It has been illegal for a woman to be payed less than a man since 1963. The "wage gap" is the average income of all the full-time working women in America vs Men. What it doesn't show are the types of jobs men work vs what women work. The types of degrees women generally major in vs men. The hours women work vs men. The amount of overtime, negotiation skills, etc. Also, wouldn't the amount of women in the workforce vs men be heavily in favor of women if businesses can pay women less than men?

We've come pretty far, that's true, but we have a lot further to go. There are women all over this country doing the same work as the men they work beside, and having equal or better credentials than said men, but getting paid less.

For doing the exact amount of work? Different variables science and once again it is illegal to pay women less. If a women works the exact same amount of hours and does the same job as a man and gets paid less, she should sue since it's illegal.

I can see why Ashley's speech would make a lot of men very uncomfortable. When the truth hits close to the home package , a man can be made to feel "uncomfortably numb."

 

That speech made me uncomfortable and embarrassed. The language and subjects were vulgar.

By the way, using the same "wage gap" concept that people have fallen for, white men make "less" on the dollar than asian men in America. I sure as hell know that people are not gonna say that white men are less privileged than asian men in America.

For probably the first and last time in the political forum I agree with Friction. Anyone that doesn't acknowledge that women don't recieve equal pay for equal work is simply denying reality. It's not legal. You're correct on that. But it still happens.

Just sayin', give me more women leaders.

Thank you RM for an honest answer, as much as it saddens me to hear it. If the way she delivered her diatribe is representative of the majority of women's feelings everywhere, then I admit I know even less about women than I thought.

 

I am thankful that the women in my life that I am close to are are decent and virtuous and respectable. I know they would never disgrace themselves by talking the way Ashley Judd did to make their point because they have more self respect than that. If the opposition is deplorable, then I have no words to describe Ashley Judd and like-minded people.

 

I agree with her on one thing, she is nasty.
