I don't think they are any more vile or mean than the things they are protesting. The things she said are things others said over the course of the last 18 months to 2 years. And many things mentioned are issues people live with every day.

 

Women can be any of those things BECAUSE feminists fought to be considered equal. Women still face discrimination and gender biases daily in the work place and often in their private lives. There is still much work to be done.

 

But today's marches are to unite for all unjust issues.

So, so true. Nearly one hundred years since women were first allowed to vote and still they are forced to deal with discrimination and gender bias both personally and professionally. How utterly absurd. So, damn right I support these unification marches!!!

In Louisville today, 3-5000 gathered in downtown for a Rally to March Forward. Protesters held signs defending the Affordable Care Act, women's rights and LGBTQ rights to name a few. It was peaceful, as far as I know. I didn't experience any rioting or pepper spray

Rockmom, I have a question for you. I value your opinion as much or more than any other. On inauguration day, I had a feeling like I've never had after a Presidential inauguration ushering in a new President. I just felt a general malaise all day , a sadness that a man of Mr Obama's character was no longer in the Oval Office and a man, who I feel, doesn't have the same integrity had taken his place. I thought of you several times on Friday because I felt that you were probably experiencing a similar emotion. Mind you, I have never felt subdued quite like this on Inauguration Day before, not even in 2000 after the contested election. I wasn't crazy about Mr Bush, and I certainly didn't like his VP, but I didn't feel sad like I did this Friday. The reality of the day was pretty sobering. The malaise lasted all day.

President Trump received 42% of the vote from ladies. So there are a lot of us ladies who disagree with George Soros/the benefactor,Michael Moore, Gloria Steinem, Ashley Judd, Madonna, any other Hollywood women or feminist women in general. Yes, the sexist remarks were ugly, I would not tolerate them in my home. The men in my home know that fact. Hopefully, he has developed a more mature appreciative opinion of a lady.
