Dad used to sing that song at the beginning of our vacation.

11-11 Carini's Italian Restaurant Greenville Pa

Large steak sub 11 bucks with tip.

11-18 in Washington, Pa I had Waffle house All star breakfast

12 bucks with tip.

Had some surprisingly good hibachi in of all places Morehead KY. Don't be afraid of Yamato if and when in the area.

I cannot say the same for Huddle House for breakfast. Tasted great going down...just way too much grease on that spoon. Let's just Waffle House has a leg up on them!

Had breakfast before we left Nashville this weekend at a dump called Nashville Buscuit House. It was in East Tenn and it is a place you would for sure drive right past due to curb appeal. The air BNB gave it a strong recco so we went there. Not an open table. Got in right away though. Food was off the charts good. $10 bucks a person and my son bought!!!

Not sure of the names of the rest of the places we ate but I fear what kind of noise my scale will make when I step on it tomorrow AM. Been a long week for food and drink.

I had no idea Morehead had a Hibachi restaurant, I'll keep that in mind when traveling from Ashland to Lex. Is it near I-64 or actually in town?

Less than a few miles from 64 when heading " in town " on the right.

I like the place. Melini's is our usual go-to in Morehead, but Yamato is pretty good.

Close to the high school and (I think) the fire station.

Just past the fire station on the right. :thumb:

Is Yamato a true Hibachi, with the Hibachi flat tops and such, or do they prepare it in the kitchen and bring it out to you? Not that it matters any as far as the food goes, but sometimes the show is nice to see if you're with a group. In Ashland we have two Japanese steakhouses but only one of them has the Hibachi flat top cooking stations. The food tastes the same regardless, but if you're with a group it's nice to be able to have someone throw food at your friends.

Sunday, I had a Hoosier Pork Tenderloin sandwich at the Upland Brewery Co. in Bloomington. Mrs. S had the fish and chips.

Monday, I had the Spicy Breakfast Burrito and Mrs. S had corned beef hash and eggs at Rosie's Place in downtown Noblesville, IN.

Last night, I had the Louisiana Sirloin at O'Charley's in Hamilton. Mrs. S had Cajun Chicken and Pasta. It was really good. They closed all of the O'Charley's back home (Tampa Bay). They were always busy when we went in the one on US19 in Palm Harbor.

Forgot one. Saturday night we met my Mom's side of the family at the Stone Hearth in Elizabethtown. The ribeye I had was excellent.

In Friday a friend bought me dinner at the Canal Smokehouse in Chillicothe, Ohio.

I had the Buffalo burger, with home made fries and a side on corn casserole.

Really good.

Place is very pricey.
