Bama is done for!

This is comedy reading this thread. Kiffin has coached 2 of the top 3 offenses in Alabama history. He has done it with 3 different qbs. He had a qb Saturday night who was playing like a deer in headlights and wouldn't let the ball go when they dialed up some shots and schemed some guys open. He did have a back go over 180 yards. The top 2 rushers were ineffective vs Washington. The huskies, #4 in the nation, they get schollys too. It's not HS and they don't run the power I. The defense occasionally takes things away. Looking at you Hellbird.

Kiffin made Jake Coker look like a star for 2 games. Jake Coker! I was making fun of Kiffin during the game too, but not for the lack of power running, but because he didn't run Hurts enough.

Was he really given a Rolls Royce? The Defense is a diamond crusted Rolls Royce. But the offense is more of a Camry.

You are right, you can't run it down people's throats everytime. At the same time you don't run it in back to back plays for 20+ yards and then throw it 3 consecutive plays for 0 yds. Kiffin did that time and time again with his lousy play calling. Hurt is not that great of a passing qb to become a passing offense when running is your strong suit.

The 3 headed monster this year doesn't equal 1 of the great backs of Bama past. It's still good. Maybe a Lexus, but Derrick Henry and Mark Ingram were Rolls Royces.

Thank God. He was absolutely horrible as OC. I hope Steve Sarkasian will remember they are a running team, Lane sure didn't.

They ran the ball 50 times and only threw it 14. Are you blind or did you just not watch the game? It's obvious your hatred for Kiffin is either blinding you to facts or you just don't know squat about football. What Kiffin did the last couple of years with what QB's he had to work with is nothing short of a miracle. He may be a jerk but the dude knows offense. If you can't see that I'm not sure what to tell you.

Let's not forget Kiffin was the OC on last year's title team. Which they didn't win the title because of their Defense in that game. Clemson scored 40 points on them. They won the game because of their offense scoring 45.

 

Saban may not have liked Kiffin but under Kiffin was the best offenses Saban has had since he has been at Bama. Which it has happpened with 3 different qbs too.

Was there something Kiffin said to the media or in public after the game? I caught the tail end of it while watching the UF/Iowa game, but the announcers were questioning why he would say what he did prior to heading into the championship game? Am I missing something, or were they just trying to make conversation in what is otherwise a boring BiG stomping.

I am not a Kiffin fan in general but I think the dude can flat out coach offense. I think he has done an outstanding job as O coordinator at Bama. I am curious as to why he is not staying for the championship game. Is Saban basically showing him the door early because he took a head coaching job or is Kiffin wanting to leave so he can get a head start on his new job?

Kiffin was argubably the best OC over the last 3 years. He did a great job at Bama. I think he is a snake but the man can call a game.

 

Unlike some others I don't see a big drop. Only Bama can have another great experienced play caller waiting in the wing. Sarks problem wasn't his offensive mind. It was hitting the bottle and USC sanctions. If he's clean , he has been with the team all year and will be ready.

You're forgetting their best RB they had. Shaun Alexander. He had the Heisman all but wrapped up until he got hurt his senior season

Kiffin is good if he has the players to run his offense. Kiffin has always wanted to have a more flashy offense but he needed the qb for his system. That has always been his biggest downfall. Hurt is not the gunslinger Kiffin wanted him to be.
