You're forgetting their best RB they had. Shaun Alexander. He had the Heisman all but wrapped up until he got hurt his senior season

I was speaking under Saban and championship winning RB's. But I understand you wanting to include him since he is one of our own in NKy.

They ran the ball 50 times and only threw it 14. Are you blind or did you just not watch the game? It's obvious your hatred for Kiffin is either blinding you to facts or you just don't know squat about football. What Kiffin did the last couple of years with what QB's he had to work with is nothing short of a miracle. He may be a jerk but the dude knows offense. If you can't see that I'm not sure what to tell you.

If you read the game thread you would know I only watched the first half. What I witnessed was too many 1st down passes which resulted in 2nd and longs and 3rd and longs. Then when he did run they were successful but he would end up killing the momentum in those drives by trying to go back to the air.

Kiffin is good if he has the players to run his offense. Kiffin has always wanted to have a more flashy offense but he needed the qb for his system. That has always been his biggest downfall. Hurt is not the gunslinger Kiffin wanted him to be.

No he's definitely not the gunslinger Kiffin needs, but Blake Barnett is more of that guy but they ran him off. Hurts throws a great deep ball, but he needs guys to get open downfield against Clemson or it's going to be a long night. Clemson will shut down their run game relatively.

Was Lane that productive at USC and TN with the offense?

I am not a Kiffin fan in general but I think the dude can flat out coach offense. I think he has done an outstanding job as O coordinator at Bama. I am curious as to why he is not staying for the championship game. Is Saban basically showing him the door early because he took a head coaching job or is Kiffin wanting to leave so he can get a head start on his new job?

Relatively speaking I think they'll shut it down. They'll keep their total rushing yards under ~200 yards rushing. Which is about 50 yards short of their average.

It is what it is. To me it seemed the offense didn't click until they abandoned the passing game but I could be wrong. Just seemed the little I saw the drives died when they went to the air. You don't have to throw a lot of the times if when you do they kill drives.

I think the offense started clicking late in the game when the UW defense simply didn't have enough gas left in the tank.

I think Kiffin was spending a lot more time building his new staff and recruiting than Saban wanted. In fairness I get both sides. If Lane can't give 100% he should move on.

Guys Saban was screaming at him after the 2 delay of game penalties. The center didn't snap the ball.

Maybe Saban said to Lane, "It's not you, it's me."
