A Stallion by definition is an uncastrated adult male horse. The issue is what they will call the female teams at the school. They can't really be the Lady Stallions.

Frederick Douglass Men of War would be an awesome name mind you. Very fitting as well, but the women's mascot issue would be even worse haha

 

Frederick Douglass War Horses would be an awesome option truthfully. Pay homage to Man of War and still get a very unique mascot that sounds super tough.

Shoulda went with the original mascot from the previous Douglass High, the Demons.(although they spelled it Deamons, from the research I have done) Douglass Demons has a nice ring to it IMO.

 

Use something similar to the Dayton Dragons "D" with a tail.
