December 29, 20169 yr I was jk you . Its been a very good discussion . You have debated well. :lol2: doesn't bother me. Everybody in their right mind wants peace in that region. If me or LB knew how to get it I guess we wouldn't be sparring on a message board, we'd have the next 50 Nobel peace prizes headed our way.
December 29, 20169 yr Interesting article detailing how Israel's collapse of the "left" has caused the PM to go harder on settlements than he has in the past. The real reason for Netanyahu’s showdown with Obama - Vox
December 29, 20169 yr Speaker Ryan took a lot of shots at this administration's "failed policies" regarding Russia AND said the sanctions were appropriate. Neither POTUS is happy with him.
December 29, 20169 yr Hellcats should consider I for one have enjoyed Professor Bash's seminar on this subject (ie: this thread). In all seriousness, the history lesson regarding Israel and the settlements in the last 75 years been very informative. Thanks LB:thumb:
December 29, 20169 yr Lipton Bash is evidently a bus driver, taking people to school on this subject. Clyde mentioned his own lack of knowledge on the subject, he should climb aboard the bus.
December 30, 20169 yr Aussies go with Israel. Recall ambassador to New Zealand. Julie Bishop backs Israel rather than the US over UN resolution Australia has broken ranks with the United States and New Zealand over Israel, indicating that it would most likely have opposed the UN Security Council resolution condemning Israeli settlements in the West Bank. Israel recalled its ambassador to New Zealand for consultations after NZ co-sponsored the resolution demanding that Israel "immediately and completely cease all settlement activities in the occupied Palestinian territory, including East Jerusalem" and said the settlements had "no legal validity and constitutes a flagrant violation under international law". Aussies are an interesting breed. Not good when the former British prisoners break with the US. We are usually solid. Instead this administration is solid with others - like the Kiwis.

December 30, 20169 yr 5 big boys: US, UK, China, Russia, France 10 that serve two year terms I have a problem calling France one of the big boys too...not blaming you Cats...I know what you mean as they are permanent - I guess I don't know why they get that lofty standing.
December 30, 20169 yr I keep waiting for a Habib diaspora reference. I had to look that one up. :lol2:

December 30, 20169 yr Obviously this has caused a bigger rift world wide than what was previously thought. I feel the fallout will be even more. The admin has caused more division here and abroad than anyone in history.
