I guess that's true if you ignore the Arab league and especially Egypt over decade long blockade and constant attacks on the Israeli border , Egypt attacking from Gaza. Also Egypt hiring German Scientist to create rockets to shoot chemical weapons into Israel.

There would be a two state solution if the Arab nations accepted the orginal UN solution. They chose violence.

The Israeli Air Force struck on Day One and wiped out the Egyptian Air Force.

Is there dispute about that?

FWIW, I'm not assigning value to the act but the Israelis did launch a preemptive strike.

Like I said it depends on when you define it starting conflicts were on going well before Israel bombed Egypt, Jordan and Syria. There had been a many year blockade against Israel by the Arab league , Egypt led fighting from Gaza for years and as I said smuggled in German/Nazi scientist to help with the rocket program to fire into Israel. The PLO was firing into Israel. Just a few years before that an Arab led force invaded Israel. The Arab league refused all council from the UN.

Also what is lost in all this love for the PLO and Palestinian militants and their rights. They were kicked out of Jordan and into Lebonon because they were to violent and extreme . Israel had to invade Lebanon to help their army because they could not control the PLO who controlled sothern Lebanon and ignored Lebanon leaders to quit firing into Israel .

I will not accept any version that blames conflict on Israel. If you want to blame the United Kingdom and their Imperial behavior fine , or the stubbornness of Arab nations to find peace with Israel fine.

Peace for us means the destruction of Israel. We are preparing for an all-out war, a war which will last for generations. - Yasser Arafat

Our law is a Jordanian law that we inherited, which applies to both the West Bank and Gaza, and sets the death penalty for those who sell land to Israelis.- Yasser Arafat

Old Yasser was a freedom loving patriot. Stood firm for human rights too. Was a champion for negotiations. :lol2:

PS. Might have been Obamas Uncle. :)

Glad to see you finally admit that about Obama. You're coming around. :thumb:

I've been around on Obama. Greatest POTUS of my lifetime.

Again, no expert on the situation but way too many people are saying that the occupation expansion is illegal.

No, Clizzy. It's not illegal when Israel does it. They can do whatever they want to do.

Why is it illegal?

Is,it not in Israel best to attack before being attacked in 1967, because they were for sure going to be attacked, just like they were in 1948.

Israel has the best intelligence service in the world.

The Yasir Arafat that led the PLO terrorist organization and that Ronald Reagan began dialogue with in 1988?

Another question I have for everyone ... as mentioned by others above, why all the outrage against Obama when 14 other nations including Britain, France, Spain, and Japan also either supported or chose not to veto this resolution?

I'm angry with everyone who allowed this anti-semitic resolution to pass. But President Obama is our leader who decided to side against our strongest friend in the Middle East in his closing hours in office. For that reason I have every intention on calling him out because Israel like America should always stand on the right side not the evil that is anti-semitism.

Once again Obama is proving what everyone has always assumed.

Why is it illegal?

Have they or have they not been told repeatedly not to gild settlements on this land in dispute?
