Remote Starters....Yes or No?

Featured Replies

We park in a garbage so I would never spend the extra money for an aftermarket remote. The Chevy has a factory one and I really like it. It is on the key fob or you can actually start it using an app on the phone.

That must get stinky after a while. Hopefully someone gets you air fresheners for Christmas.

They are pretty awesome and well worth it IMO, even more so if you have small children. The ones we have are factory ones so I can't provide much insight on after market stuff.

Umm, yeah. Of course everyone has one where I live and basically everyday from January 1 - March 1, it is in use. Heated seats as well.

If there's no competition around, it will probably be expensive.

Great price, IMO. Not going to beat that.

Well worth it. I used mine all the time for both heat and air conditioning. I really miss it. She will love it.

Thanks

For reference, I priced one myself for my new car the other day. The first place I called said remote start STARTED at $450, remote start/security combos at $550.

My oldest son has one and loves it. His was $199 installed.

I'm going to wrap up the FOB for Christmas and then get installed afterwards.

Make your appointment now though. They get busy this time of year.

Don't know how I ever lived without one...

My wife has a remote starter. It is called Me. As in, "Will you go start my car for me?"

Remote start is life altering. I'll never go back.
