Because the game was being broadcasted, during timeouts they have a guy with an orange glove on who lets the refs know when to go. He was still on the field with his hand up and did not give the refs the ok to resume play.

Wake up to read the paper and they have a really good recap but zero quotes from either the Beechwood game nor the Cincy St X game. Hopefully due to having to meet their deadline and will be more coverage tomorrow.

Congratulations Tigers on a fantastic season and state championship! I knew this team was going to be very solid after watching the Dixie Heights scrimmage back in August. Versatile offense with good use of pass vs run and with a more than capable defense.

That was one of the most incredible seasons in Beechwood history. Congratulations to the entire Tigers program on a great win over a very tough opponent. I have learned from observation and experience that Hazard is always a very strong, tough, physical and well coached opponent. Last night's game showed that once again. Hazard has a heck of a team.

 

No one - I mean no one (except the young men in that locker room) expected this team to accomplish everything they did this season. This was a rebuilding year. This team was too young. This team did not have experience. This team was too small. Is there any better accomplishment than what this team just did? They didn't listen to the doubters. They believed in themselves and their brothers in that locker room and they did what no one expected.

 

Congratulations Tigers and enjoy! You earned it.

...I'm not sure which Enquirer you read. Seemed to me that they had some pretty darn nice coverage.

Proud of my TIGERS! This team was fast, versatile, and DETERMINED. LAST year losing in state final was a bitter pill to swollow. I just knew that this group of tigers would not be denied. So very proud of you all, but especially our Seniors! ?????????
