I was logging on to congratulate Holy Cross on a great run and an incredible effort tonight. I didn't expect the HC posters to be blaming the refs for the loss. Danville had too much speed and Holy Cross couldn't stop them. That's the bottom line.

If Danville gets the interception in the 2nd quarter, they probably score 50 points and win a little easier honestly.

Instead of saying it show us with the video if you have it.

It is still amazing how many people aren't even mentioning van cleave not playing in second half. That's probably a td or two.

Still Barnes is an impressive man. I was impressed with the Indians but proud of ads stepping up when it mattered.

Now bring one home and start a new but old tradition again.

I'm going through video now.

Don't blame it on the refs. Ads were absolutley the better team.

Great game by Danville. Holy cross played their hearts out. Proud to be an Indian. Proud to see my team fight all the way to the end with everything going against them, being down 3 tds, with questionable calls by the refs, being 2 hours away from home. Proud to be a crossback

Is the championship game at 1:00 p.m. eastern time or central time?

Congrats to HC for a great year. Huge congrats to the Ads for advancing. It's really laughable the earlier post blaming officials for the loss. Some HC fans were bashing NCC fans for blaming officials last week...How ironic.

This is from a completely unbiased observer who went to watch a good high school football game and got exactly what I was hoping for. Barns for Holy Cross was probably the best player on the field, that kid is good. Danville was probably the better more complete team. There were a handful of questionable calls both ways but there were definitely a couple towards the end of the game that did not help Danville.

The last play of the game for Holy Cross that was somewhat controversial, I was discussing it with @Lawnboy13. The running backs forward momentum had definitely stopped and the pile while still going side to side was not advancing forward for several seconds. After a few seconds Abernathy surged forward and went past the first down marker. Neither Lawnboy 13 or I heard a whistle blow but it was obvious to us that it should have been blown and the play ended. Definitely not the way Holy Cross players and fans want the game to end and that is completely understandable. I myself wanted to see the game continue and see how it would play out.

By the way I would like to give a huge shout-out to the Holy Cross fans that allowed me and a couple of other non Holy Crossers to join them for some pre-game tailgating activities and some awesome food. I think the brat I had was the best I've ever eaten. Huge shout out to Amy and Bill for that it was greatly appreciated. I hope everyone had a safe ride home.

Great wins ADS!! Good luck next week.

I went to this game, and it was a war. I don't understand why they just didn't give the ball to #21 he almost beat Danville by himself. They couldn't tackle that kid all night, but they seemed to give the ball to #3 a lot more.

I said questionable calls.. lol which is not a lie.

Congratulations to Danville. Here is my last box score and play by play of the year.

Central time

The KHSAA has said they'll release the official schedule on Saturday night. Just a hunch, take it for what it's worth:

If Western beats Marshall I predict this game will be played on Thursday night. 1A was on Thursday last year but I don't think they'll make Beechwood come two Thursdays in a row.

That was my mother and father who fed you the amazing Finke brats and I Agree mostly everything you said and it was a great game to watch! I know my parents enjoyed you guys at the tailgate!

Just returning home to my palatial estate after witnessing a VERY good football game. Before I go into my thoughts of the game I have to give a few shout-outs. Thanks to @ADopted ADmiral for hosting me, @BigVMan23, & @Wireman at his place prior to the game. Thanks to Bill and Aimee Finke for inviting us to join them for tailgating, the food was EXCELLENT, and the hospitality from the Holy Cross fans was great.

It was really nice to see the excitement from the Holy Cross faithful has the team bus arrived, they all lined up cheering the team on, it had to give the team that special feeling.

On to the game.........There were questionable calls that went for/against both teams, the officials did NOT win/lose the game for either team. Both teams capitalized on the other teams mistakes. On the 4th down play on Holy Cross' final drive, it was just like @BigVMan23 explained....momentum was halted for more than a few seconds and it should have been whistled dead prior to Abernathy making the final surge. Obviously there was a whistle, but neither I or @BigVMan23 heard it.

The Holy Cross defense was giving Danville fits prior to the drive before the half ended. That's when Danville exploited the Holy Cross secondary, this was the difference in the game. Dampier was money on his deep throws hitting the receivers in stride, the kid is a talent.

For Holy Cross, I was very impressed with how they did not give up when down 21 to start the 4th. @ADopted ADmiral keep saying he was starting to get flashbacks of the 2006 State Final game when NewCath scored 21 unanswered in the final 7:45 to erase a 17 point deficit to win the game. :lol2:

Barnes and Abernathy were has good has advertised. A couple guys in the line at the concession stand were commenting on the size of those two and saying they grow them big up north. :lol2: Barnes is a BEAST!!!! he was the man on both sides of the ball tonight, the young man is a player.

Congrats and good luck to Danville next week, bring it home to the East. Congrats to Holy Cross on one hell of a season, you have absolutely no reason to hang your heads.

Bottomline.....I was hoping to see a good game, and that's EXACTLY what I got. Thank you to both Holy Cross and Danville, it was well worth the drive.

BTW, add @HC_INDIAN_Crossback @Justamom2 & @lamontab to my ever growing list of unfortunate souls who join my list. :lol2:
