Corbin dominated Belfry for a Half and led 17-0.... then the Pirates storm back with avengence.

Corbin botches a 4th and Goal at the 2 and then Belfry absolutely explodes behind Taveon Hunter, Cameron Catron, and the best Defensive Player in the State of Kentucky Ray Horton.

My favorite television show of all-time is "The Wire" from HBO and one of my all-time favorite characters is Omar.

To quote Omar,

"When you take a shot at the King, you best not miss"

Corbin relinquishes momentum and Belfry runs with it literally.

Congratulations Belfry on moving on to the state Championship.

What a turnaround! And that my friends is why Belfry is Belfry.

Never had a doubt :lol2:

Taveon Hunter 6 carries, 156 yards, 4 TD

28 plays, 257 yards Total... 198 yards in 2nd Half on 18 total plays

Upset alert huh?

Congrats Belfry! Anxious to see next week's schedule of games as this will be a great team for the average fan to watch.

I want to know if @Watusi was sweating any on this cool evening?

Ur Killin' Me

Congratulations to Belfry on advancing and to Corbin on a nice season. Something tells me that Corbin will be back again in the near future.

Corbin had a small margin of error and they made a couple of costly mistakes that derailed their upset bid. Corbin started losing the momentum when they had the TD called back right before the half, but had a chance to regain it late in the 3rd qtr. when they had the bad snap when they had it at the Belfry 1 yd line trying to go up by 10. Corbin seemed to panic somewhat when Belfry then took the lead and committed 4 turnovers deep in their own territory, which led to 3 Belfry scores in the last 6 minutes.

Congrats to Belfry, who are a well oiled machine and also to the Redhounds on a fantastic season.

I didn't figure Corbin would be quite the threat that the Belfry fans wanted us to believe. :lol2:
