I'm not trying to hide my homerism at all. .

Yep, that's pretty obvious.:lol2: But it might be clouding your judgment just a tad.

I'm okay with people thinking that. You're going to have to make a hell of an argument to make me pick Cam over Lamar. No one has come close to that yet.

I never said Lamar was better at this point, I just said he is way more athletic.

10x more athletic, to be exact. :D

I think Jackson has the speed advantage and Newton had the strength advantage. After Jackson finishes his college career, he could be better all around. Regardless of talent, I do believe that Tim Tebow is currently the best college quarterback all time.

As great as Lamar is, I would pick Newton and not even think twice about it. Auburn was bad before he gets there. He is there 1 year they win it all. Not to much he did it against better defenses and tougher environments and better teams.

Give me the 6'5 250 pounder that went undefeated in a much more competitive conference.

Cam was and is a much better QB. Lamar is a much better RB.

The poll should be Lamar or Mike Vick. Both are glorified rb's.

I've predicted it before and will stick with it. Lamar will be similar to Vick at the next level. All running and not a great passer.

I think Jackson gets the Heisman this year, If next year he goes undefeated and/or leads Louisville to a National title I'll say him over Cam, for now I'll go Cam. I'll take wins over athletic ability anyday.

The reason I put Lamar vs Cam instead of Vick is Lamar and Cam are dissimilar enough where it's more of a matter of philosophy with Cam and Lamar instead of choosing essentially between 2 identical players with Vick and Lamar.

Makes sense but they are so different with Cam being head and shoulders above Lamar that only the UL faithful would pick Lamar.

I didn't think that so many would put Cam head and shoulders above Lamar. I took Cam too as he is hands down the greatest college football player I've ever seen, I just thought there would be more prisoners of the moment who would take Lamar.

As good as Jackson is. I think people may see now how silly it was to compare them two. It's Newton all day every day imo.

We can revisit once Lamar's career is over. You're right, it is silly to compare less than a year of starting experience to a career.

Lamar is 10x as athletic as Cam. Lamar will be better next year than he is this year, so I'll take my chances with him.

This is true because Lamar is a WR playing QB.
