Roy Romes has died at the age of 91.

He has done so much for CCH over the years - more than a lot realize. Pretty sure the bingo is as successful as it is , which means the boosters have money, because of Roy.

If you've been a visitor and bought a hot dog at the visitor concession stands you did so at the Roy Romes concession stand. If you've ever been to a basketball game and noticed an elderly gentleman wearing a white sweater sitting right inside the door as you walk into the gym you've seen Roy.

He's a HOFer.

Thoughts and prayers to the entire Romes family. CCH could never re-pay Roy.

Very sorry to hear this. Prayers for the family and CCH as a whole.

Incredibly sad. I hope all of the Romes family members are warmed by great memories.

Basketball games won't be the same.

Much much gratitude to Mr. Romes. Thoughts and prayers to his family, friends and the Colonel family.

Prayers to the CCH community.

Sad day for the CCH community.

Sorry to hear of the CCH community's loss. Sounds like he sure will be remembered for a long, long time.

Thanks for sharing Clyde.

Rest in Peace Roy.

Roy was a legend......... he's been a HUGE part of CCH for the longest time and did so much for the school.

He had a big impact on everyone, especially athletes and the teams.

He'll live on through A LOT of people.

Very sad news. Prayers for the entire Romes family...

Roy was a great great figure in the Covington Catholic community. It says something when the school is naming things for you after all your years of volunteering and you're still there continuing to volunteer for another 20 years.

Prayers to the CCH community. It is people like him that inspire the young to support their school and their community after they graduate.

Indeed. Prayers and best wishes to the family and the CovCath family.

Roy Romes Obituary - Fort Wright, KY | Kentucky Enquirer

Roy's presence at CCH events will be sadly missed. The only thing Roy loved more than CCH was his his kids and grandkids. Roy was a man's man. He commanded respect. Here's my CCH Mount Rushmore: Dan Tieman, Jack Kaelin, Mote Hils and Roy Romes.
