With as crazy of a game as it was, thoughts keep popping into my brain. Fields Davis really deserves some more praise on here for his efforts on defense. He was all over the field from his LB position and everytime there was a big stop that was needed for Ashland it seem that Davis was the man there to make the play.

You know I'll have to second that. Michael told me before the game to watch him. He definitely impressed me.

WOW!! Impressive win by the tomcats... I guess they made me eat my own words and proved me wrong. But "I can accept it when I'm wrong and will ever time that I am." Remember when B.C. beat Russell last season tho and then Russell still wins state. I'm not taking nothing away from ashland on the great win, but I think its a possiblity of it happening again. As I like to say ''ANY GIVEN TEAM CAN WIN ON ANY GIVEN FRIDAY" good luck to both teams the rest of the way!

He was just saying that the kids enjoy the fireworks be it at Russell or at Ashland. We have been using them for several years.:thumb:

I think that is what he was talking about too. 58 was only referring to the fireworks that Russell has let off for years as a reference. Stating how the kids really seem to enjoy it.

They had the cannon for the raceland game, I'm not sure about the Belfry game though. I personally like the cannon as well

I had no idea about that injury hopefully he will be ok.

 

I spoke with a very good source and it could be torn but maybe not. I would not expect to see John Cornwell for a couple of games. I hope he heals fast we need him at that nose tackle. He was missed last night. No QB preasure.

POUND IT DOWN ASHLANDS THROAT, and when everyone in the region is at the game tomorrow, and Ashland is leaning back-fat with the gate money, and everyone is watching from Eastern Kentucky and Southern Ohio----- watch the DEVILS make the kittens wish they would have stayed in side in the nice DRY cold walls of their HOLY GRAIL OF A RELIC.

Russell did not play last night........1 offensive play in the first quarter. Fumble on the first play, from a hard hit on Kasey. Russell still leads 7-0. Back on defense again, again. I could see some changes in the back field.

I would like to see Jones moved to the back field too. Beek and Lewis are not power runners as Kasey is. When you have your tailback as the biggest player in the backfield, something doesnt seem right. Lewis and Beek have earned the right to start, they are very tough players. But when you put 2 guards inthe backfield as lead blockers and gain 3-4 a carry, you know who is getting the ball.

Great job for Ashland. they played a great game and you cant knock that. Evans should never have been put in that situation last night. Russell blew it before that.

I hope someone repaired the devil on the scoreboard at our place...The fire coming out it's mouth has really become a big part of Russell touchdowns at home...After the malfunction it hasn't worked quite the same at it was in the picture on the football website...I wanted to use that as my avatar but couldn't get to work...I'm willing to front the money for any repairs needed to get it working like it used to...
