Happy Birthday LRCW! Hope its a good one.

I missed LRCW, too. I can't go on vacation in October anymore.

Hope you had a great one.

HAPPY BDAY from one big Reds' fan to another. Here's a trivia question from the SF archives just for you :

Around the midway mark of the 1973 season, the Reds were in a funk. They were trailing the Dodgers by 11 games and were one strike away from being 12 games behind. Instead, this Reds player(a .217 lifetime batter) and third-string catcher hit a walk-off three-run homer in the bottom of the ninth to send the Reds to victory in the first game of a doubleheader against the Dodgers that day at Riverfront. The Reds came from behind late in the nightcap to sweep the DH and they rolled from that point on. In fact, this memorable homerun(I remember listening to the game and going crazy) propelled the Reds to a 60-26 record over the final three months of the season , overcoming LA's lead and finishing with a 99-63 record.

Who hit this memorable homerun , and for bonus points, whose screwball did he hit it off of?( No, it wasn't Mike Marshall) ????

I am late to the party but happy bday my man.

BGP wouldn't be the same without you @LRCW

I missed it as well, sorry LRCW. But, since I missed yesterday...
