I make less than 70 thousand a year, but I believe in Trickle Down Economics. I think Trump's tax plan (from what I understand of it) will be similar.

 

While the Wall may never be built the way he describes it, I think he will do a better job securing our borders.

 

My grandparents are from Beirut and I have absolutely no problem with a comprehensive study of every middle eastern immigrant/refugee entering our country. It's something I think should have been done long ago.

 

I believe he will appoint a strong conservative supreme court justice. I mean we are living in a world where some of our leaders are trying to convince us that it is wrong to tell a little boy that he is supposed to go to the boy's bathroom.

 

I think he will support our police officers. I mean we live in a world where people are praised for disrespecting authority and our country. I remember during the riots in St. Louis two years ago President Obama said on TV "The have good reason to be upset."

I tend to believe in trickle down economics too, but if he gets elected NOBODY is going to want to be associated with any of his policies. He will get absolutely nothing accomplished even if it is a republican cause because no one wants to be on a sinking ship. The wall is the least of our worries right now, allowing Syrian refugees is a risky business and you are darned if you do darned if you don't, and frankly I don't care what bathroom someone uses as long as I don't have to worry about ISIS, the government dumping money into a publicly funded healthcare system that is going to bankrupt our economy, and I want to know that I'll have a job when I wake up in the morning. If you can guarantee me those things will be taken care of them we can have discussions on what bathroom to use, until then use whatever bathroom you want as long as you aren't directly interfering with me and what I'm trying to do in there. ISIS, healthcare, jobs > gay rights, gun laws, a bathroom laws. I will take losses on the last 3 all day if you can guarantee me that the first 3 are taken care of. The only social issue that I place of any importance is abortion, but no matter how strongly pro life I am, I know in my heart of hearts that neither candidate is going to touch Roe v. Wade when so many other promises are already made.

I find it interesting that we are back to the old adage of "if you disagree with President Obama you are a racist".

 

I'm as far from racist as one can be and I think Obama has been horrible as a POTUS due to his policies. Obmacare, shovel ready jobs, etc.

Trump is an independent who leverage the Republican process. And they apparently did not rigged their primaries to cheat or commit overt fraud like the DNC. But they are ticked and still mad. And the Bush's still call a lot of shots since they and the Clintons work together after Mena.

and that's a shame, because if they knew any better they would realize that he is running as a Republican because he thinks it was the easier path to the presidency. I understand voting along party lines typically because 9 times out 10 your views and your party's candidates views are going to be pretty similar; this guy represents nothing about the GOP.

So you care more about what bathroom someone uses than whether or not they have a job. I think that says way more about where we are as a society. I have some very conservative leanings fiscally and obviously more moderate social stances. But to say some bathroom

law in NC is a higher priority than the 3 major issues I listed is simply ridiculous. We have a much better chance at fixing the economy and defeating ISIS than we do getting people to agree on most social issues. With these issues people may not agree on the route we take to achieve success, but we always agree on the goal and those goals are to make sure our country is safe and to ensure a prosperous life for the citizens of this country.

Sure you have been very fortunate to be able to have employment and I'm sure 99% or higher on here have the same luxury. The problem doesn't lie with people not being able to find jobs, it's that they don't know how to find jobs and/ or they don't have any discernible skills or education needed to get a job. That's where our society is at right now. We need to get rid of a very serious entitlement problem we have in this country right now, but this starts with education. I believe in lowering taxes to boost the economy, I believe in the private sector, I believe that the governments first priority is the safety of its citizens above all else. But I also believe that marijuana usage should be allowed because we can tax the crap out of it and it's honestly safer than alcohol, I believe that someone's right to get married whether it's a man and a woman, or man/man, or woman/ woman it doesn't matter. To me marriage is man/ woman but do I care if someone else's opinion of marriage can be something else? No and why should I? It doesn't affect me. It doesn't affect my happiness, but it affects theirs and I personally feel that is important. If we can make the people of this county happier, we will start to get more stuff accomplished.
