Why do fellow Republicans support Trump?

One of the more depressing things in my life will be trying to figure out if white people don't care what black people think and feel or if they are just that out of touch and take for granted that everything is just peachy for black people in America. Sad, man, I tell you.

People don't even understand what Obama is saying when he says, "they have a reason to be upset."

I can't wait to move to the Caribbean now.

I don't know anyone who thinks things are just peachy for blacks in America. I see the problems first hand every day in my line of work. The struggle is real and one of the reasons is the blind loyalty the majority of blacks have to a Democrat party that has done nothing for them in decades. Even Obama has failed them. More on food stamps and welfare, fewer in the workforce, more dependent on Government than before he took office. Our public schools fail to teach yet Democrats oppose allowing vouchers and school choice. I see these problems, but I see no answer on the horizon.

Give it a rest.

So blacks are their own problem. That is exactly what PP92 is alluding to, I think. Most, many, some (I really don't know) whites are fine if blacks and other people of color are segregated and keep their mouths shut. Just be glad you are living in a free country.

Exactly what you have said and are evidently thinking is THE PROBLEM. Some people fail to understand first, instead they judge and pity blacks. The two thinks they do not want or need. You are portraying blacks as Trump does and I think some Republicans as free loaders. They support the Democratic Party by and large because the Dems generally try to help them and not shove things like vouchers down their throats because voucher schools will take only the students they want. Let's take the Covington. Newport urban core kids that struggle and watch how many Ft Thomas and Beechwood take. Hardly any unless they can play ball. If that really happened and those districts take the really tough one's from the urban core, then you have my vote. You and I both know that ain't happening.

Vouchers cypher money from the poor schools and give to the rich one's or allow kids to take meaningless on line douses that makes some big business person richer with no accountability.

Painful truths?

Obama did more for blacks than any other POTUS ever(and yes that includes Abraham Lincoln and his political move to end slavery) when he simply said, "they have a reason to be upset" and when he sent representatives to Mike Brown's funeral and when he stated, "my son would look like Trayvon Martin."

I can go on and on and on about the good Obama has done for black people simply by making a statement or a gesture. White people call that Obama being the Great Divider though........

Vouchers give parents a choice for their kids. Unions oppose vouchers because vouchers will further expose the failure of our public schools, especially inner city schools. This in turn will expose the unions and their failed policies.

Keep believing that lie.

Obama has done more to divide this country than any President in my lifetime. We are further apart on racial lines now than we were 8 years ago. That is a truth that is undeniable.

If it helps to keep you state-side, some white people care. I do. I try to understand as much as possible.

That isn't the fault of black people. We haven't changed anything we have said or done since the Civil Rights Movement. I guess more of you guys are just actually paying attention to us now. Hell, concern for Black on Black violence is at an all time high in 2016. How is that dividing anyone?

Thanks, Obama.

It's amazing......they are finally listening to what we have been saying since 1987!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

To be honest I can't wait to be a beach bum and 2016 has given me more motivation than ever before.

Side note: I never would have guessed you were white. I just knew that you knew the secret handshake. :lol2: :lol2:

Obama has done more to divide this country than any President in my lifetime.

That's because he has actually addressed the racism we deal with in this country more than any President in your lifetime.

Let me put it another way. Let's say my kid is black, he has been suspended for numerous fights, weed, and highly suspected to be in a gang. Or she is white, pregnant failing all her courses, suspected to be a drug user. Their parents badly want to get them out of their present school situations and have heard ABC school in the suburbs with mostly middle class white kids will take them with vouchers The President and Governor said so.

They will have NO CHOICE with vouchers. They will not end up there and you and I both know it, they will stay right where they are and produce another generation pretty much like them. Don't give me this union junk. It has nothing to do with it. Just an easy answer the Republican establishment wants us to believe.
