October 10, 201610 yr As a lifelong republican, I have denounced Trump from the beginning of the primaries. For what its worth I was a Kasich guy. But I want to hear what is the exact reason you still support this guy? His plans that you like, etc. I don't want to hear any garbage that he is " the lesser of two evils" They both have MAJOR flaws. I will be casting my vote for the former governors of New Mexico and Massachusetts and hope that Trump hasn't ruined all hope for Republicans being in control of congress.

I was reading an article about Paul Ryan denouncing Trump for the sole purpose of gaining control of the Senate. Looks like an uphill battle now because of Trump. At least that is the implication from the article. GOP split deepens as House Speaker Ryan abandons Trump - LA Times
October 11, 201610 yr And the option is the rapist enabler and brutilizer of his victims to pound them into silence. The choice of the apparent corrupt DNC - how many ' stepped down'? A party to the drug running through Mena Arkansas in conjunction with the Bush's? Some who brutalized completely innocent people who were just dong their job. The person who liead about the completely innocent people and destroyed there livelihood and careers? The person who went bed apparently during the Benghazi battle that involved her staff and staff that only her and the head of CIA would know for sure they were there and needed help. When it come to choice of 'lesser of two evils' this is not close by 1000 miles.

When it come to choice of 'lesser of two evils' this is not close by 1000 miles. I understand this. But they are both evil. I refuse to sacrifice by dignity to vote for someone who does not represent me. Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton do not represent me. I don't care which one is worse, I care that they both suck. I'm not choosing between the Browns and the Dolphins because neither is going to win the Super Bowl and likewise I will not vote for Trump or Clinton because neither will save America.

At least that is the implication from the article. GOP split deepens as House Speaker Ryan abandons Trump - LA Times They have no other choice. Nobody wanted him, they thought getting behind him would help calm him down and keep Clinton out of the White House. But now they realize that a Trump White House is just as bad. The sad thing that I'm coming to realize is that a fair share of Trump supporters support him because they truly share the views he is expressing and it is just plain sad. The political views I'm fine with, heck I don't disagree with everything he say politically, but I disagree with Trump as a person and that is far more important and I think other Republicans like Ryan are realizing the same thing.
October 11, 201610 yr There is a saying. If everyone is mad at you you must be on the right track. Seems to fit. Trump is an independent who leverage the Republican process. And they apparently did not rigged their primaries to cheat or commit overt fraud like the DNC. But they are ticked and still mad. And the Bush's still call a lot of shots since they and the Clintons work together after Mena. The Saudi's own the Clintons, the Bush's and the Fed. It's time to wake up.
October 11, 201610 yr I don't like the stuff Trump spewed the other day, but HRC hasn't shown me enough deliverables from her long political career to sway my vote. I'm not throwing mud on any poster for voting for their canidate of choice this year. These 4 canidates are extremely weak..
October 11, 201610 yr I support Trump because I think he would be a good president. I wish he was more of a spiritual person and I'd love to have his ear for ten minutes but listening to Hilary praise Roe Vs. Wade made me cringe. I am fearful of a world that my children will live in if Hilary becomes the president. I have a strong inkling that I will be very depressed in about 4 weeks though.

I actually have had a similar conversation with myself. My kids are grown, but I have a 4 year old granddaughter and another almost 2. What will their world be like if Trump becomes POTUS? What are the longterm ramifications, even if he is only one term? Beyond his attitude toward women. He scares the hell out of me. I've disliked many candidates, and disagreed with most of them. He's the first one that truly has made me feel fear.

This isn't "they hate us, cause they ain't us" they hate Trump because he single handedly destroying the Republican Party and basically ensured a democratic Supreme Court for the foreseeable future, really hurts the Republicans chances at keeping congress, and the Republican nominee in 2020 will have a really hard time winning.

He never talks about his plans. I am a huge pro life supporter myself, but the fact of the matter remains Roe v. Wade is not top priority for any candidate when you have ISIS, healthcare, and the economy to worry about. That's just the facts of the current moment.
October 11, 201610 yr I actually have had a similar conversation with myself. My kids are grown, but I have a 4 year old granddaughter and another almost 2. What will their world be like if Trump becomes POTUS? . Probably a microcosm of our society right now. Two sides have the exact same immense fear about the other side. I think your side will probably win.

I make less than 70 thousand a year, but I believe in Trickle Down Economics. I think Trump's tax plan (from what I understand of it) will be similar. While the Wall may never be built the way he describes it, I think he will do a better job securing our borders. My grandparents are from Beirut and I have absolutely no problem with a comprehensive study of every middle eastern immigrant/refugee entering our country. It's something I think should have been done long ago. I believe he will appoint a strong conservative supreme court justice. I mean we are living in a world where some of our leaders are trying to convince us that it is wrong to tell a little boy that he is supposed to go to the boy's bathroom. I think he will support our police officers. I mean we live in a world where people are praised for disrespecting authority and our country. I remember during the riots in St. Louis two years ago President Obama said on TV "The have good reason to be upset."

The Republicans will beat HRC (more than likely the candidate) if they would just get their evangelicals under control and quit making gay rights, abortion, not embracing and understanding Hispanics, women and blacks their issues. I really think gun rights are not as big an issue that most Republicans believe it is. Most Dems really won't fall on their sword for that, especially moderate Dems. BUT THEY WON'T. They need to settle on a candidate real early and get behind them. BUT THEY WON'T. Then Republicans will say we need to take it 2024. The old white guard is a minority, but they are in charge of the party. There are plenty of young voters that are conservative, both minorities and women to win the election for Republicans. Especially fiscally, but cannot support the other stuff. BUT THEY WON"T do this. They said it in 2008 and 2012 as a GOP, but haven't done one thing about it. Same old platform is going to get the same old results. The Dems just unite eventually and watch the GOP devour itself. Just sad really because the party's good ideas never get the attention they deserve because of the divisiveness within. Just my take.
