Biggest game of the year for Highlands.

Biggest game of the year for Cov Cath.

Biggest game of the year.

This game could salvage Highlands season, it could catapult CCH into a state run.

Both will be amped, and it will be won in the trenches. For that reason, CCH by 10.

Highlands at home and Highlands on the road this year appear to be two different animals. If CovCath doesn't bring their A game, the Colonels will be going home with a loss to Highlands again (and again and again....)

The only thing holding CovCath back from winning is all mental.

Cov Cath takes this one easy. Highlands can't stop the run.

I haven't watched a lot of CCH games this year but I don't get the impression that they are a strong running team. Anyone?

CovCath is not a run first team. Had problems establishing the run against Beechwood.

Interesting quote from Coach Brossart:

"It was great. I was really proud of our kids," said Dave Brossart, fifth-year Dixie Heights Head Coach. "We are a team that likes to run the football. I think as far as match-ups, Highlands would rather play a team that's going to be athletic and spread the ball around with the passing game. I think they match up better with a lot of great passing teams. But when it comes to running the football, we were bigger up front than they were. It was a challenge for them to stop our run."

Biggest game of the year.

Biggest game of this or any year.

A question for the HHS historians: The game with CovCath has major playoff implications, as does the CovCath / Dixie game the following week.

If CovCath prevails, then Highlands is almost assured a 3 seed in the playoffs. Even though this is a little premature, it made me wonder how long has it been (if ever?) since the Birds had to play on the road in the first round of the playoffs?
