Covington Catholic 20 Highlands 19 (Frosh)

Both good teams. The Colonels are just better this year, with more talent. Congrats Colonels.

And you know this cause one team had one more xp blocked than the other??? Lol!

Well considering one team is 5 and 0 with a win against the other team, while that other team is 3 and 3. I would say yes he has results to back that claim up.

However it's silly for people to look at freshman results to predict future varsity results. So even though CovCath may be a better freshman team currently, that means nothing when they are varsity.

I have seen both teams. They are both very talented.

Could care less about records. Seeing them head to head seems like the judge of talent with one vs the other. In this case, there is a missed extra point difference. Doesn't sound like one is more talented or clearly better than the other. Maybe the kicker in a storm!

Fair enough. Cooper also beat Highlands and Covcath beat Cooper by a decent margin just to throw another comparison of talent between Highlands and Covcath this year besides just this 1 point result.

However football is also a game of match ups and in some games teams Match up better with one team than they do another. Sounds like it would have been a fun game to see.

Did number #77 Jones sp? Play for Covcath tonight I had heard he got banged up his last game.

Last 4 games in the series:

So after having the first PAT blocked the Highlands coaching staff decided to go for a tie at the end of the game.

They may have had a better chance at 2pts in this game. Why not? On the road, go for the win.

Those lights are horrible!

Too LOW and the noise is obnoxious!

Come back next year to the Varsity game in 2017 and you will see a huge difference. Brand new stadium, new press-box and permanent lighting. From the drawing and pictures I have seen, even you will like it.

New Cath beat Cooper first game. Freshman Football is fun this year. All of this is great for Nky Football.

Those darn freshman coaches.

I thought Mayer fumbling at the end of the 2nd and handing the birds a TD and the lead, would have gave them all the momentum going into the 2nd half, but it did not.

Highlands had 2 turnovers on their first 5 plays of the second half. Momentum gone. Resulted in two short field TD's for the Colonels.

Agreed. That is why it's crazy for people to look at freshman results as future varsity results. Freshman football is hard to know what will happen.
