Absolutely not. If there is a three-way tie atop the Atlantic come the end of the season, the ACC is going to use a privately-contracted formula to determine the representative to the championship game should normal tiebreakers fail. We don't know the details of that analytic, but a close road loss would probably not hurt us terribly.

Lots to happen between now and then, but anything you can do to stop from being behind the 8-ball is a good thing.

My stance is completely selfish and personal. I get that on a big picture scale, a blow out is bad.

It's all good... People usually think I'm crazy when I say that. For national perception and all that, of course a 3 point loss at Clemson would look much better than a blow out. But when games are close like that, I'm always convinced Louisville should have won.

I am the same way with my USC Trojans. They have given the last two games away. Talking about having a knarly stomach for two weeks.

Should be a great game. The FSU game should serve as a wake up call for Clemson who might have thought (like FSU did, I'd guess) that UL is a one man show and all you need to do is contain Jackson in the pocket.

I don't know what FSU thought, but hopefully Clemson thinks it too. :lol2:

Give me Clemson by a field goal.

This may be the one that goes to OT (I thought it would be FSU). Picking the Cards in a nail biter! Agghgghghgh, so excited/nervous.

I think Louisville is the best team I have seen by a lot. Louisville wins by 10-14

The "Death Valley at night" talk is already so old, and to be honest one of my sports pet peeves in general. Clemson (and all other really good teams) win at home because they are better than the other team. Sure it doesn't hurt to be in front of friendly crowds, but the crowd doesn't decide the game.

Good teams win regardless of the atmosphere. If Clemson beats Louisville, it will be because they are a better team.

I disagree with you on this one. I think home field is a major advantage, especially in college football.

Neutral field, I pick UofL. At Clemson, not sure yet.

Has Bobby ever been blown out While at UofL? I can't think of one.

None come to memory at first thought, but I feel like there was one or two in his first stint.

Two 30 point losses: one at South Florida in 2005 and the most inexplicable loss I've ever witnessed, a 37-7 beating at the hands of Memphis in Petrino's first season.

Only this one? :lol2:

It's an advantage. It doesn't determine the outcome of a game.

This was the one I was thinking of.
