I'm not doubting the atmosphere. It will be the most hostile place Louisville plays all year by a long shot.

It will not decide the outcome of the game. And for good teams, it really doesn't play much of a factor, IMO.

Could not possibly disagree more. In college football home field plays a huge factor IMO.

The reason I say that is because if you make a couple plays, the crowd is no longer a factor. Good teams usually make several plays a quarter, that keeps the crowd in check.

Clemson hasn't looked anything like last year's team do far this season.

This is an accurate statement. People are holding on to last year's Clemson team, but they have come nowhere close to looking like a top 5 team at any point this season. Not sure if it is a title loss hangover or what.

I think home field advantage is major. Probably even makes 10 points difference in a place like Clemson.

Then Vegas must think Louisville is two touchdowns better than Clemson.

I would agree with this...

If this game were at a neutral field or at Louisville, I would say that U of L would be a double digit favorite. With that said, I will go with u of L 31-24 over Clemson..

I'd venture, neutral field would say UofL -7/7.5 and at Louisville would be around -13.

I'm just hoping for a good game from both teams and everyone gets out healthy. These are the type of games Louisville fans have wanted to be in for a long time.

Louisville is 2 touchdowns better than Clemson on a neutral field.

I'll buy a three point advantage for significant home field (that's what the Minnesota Vikings used to get when they played outside at the old Metropolitan Stadium). I can't agree with Deuce that it doesn't matter here, but a ten-point home field is preposterous.

I'm not saying it doesn't matter, not at all.

I'm just saying that it doesn't matter as much as some here are implying it does.

..........although Clemson started slow last year, too, defeating Wofford 35-27 and Appalachian State 23-12 before playing UL.
