Death Valley on a Saturday night? Good luck with that.

I'll take Clemson by a score.

Louisville offensive line vs. Clemson's defensive front seven. Winner of that battle wins this game.

The O-line for the Cards got pushed around a bit more in the Marshall game than against FSU. Could be a function of a let-down from that FSU high, to be sure, but they'll need to be in top form against a really good Clemson defensive line.

This game stands between Louisville and an undefeated regular season, IMO.

The key will be the Clemson defense. How effective will they be keeping Lamar contained will be what decides the game. He's going to have the green light to do whatever he wants to make plays.

I'll take the Cards 35-31.

I will take Clemson, especially at home. They got a wake up call early vs. Troy but still won. Afterwards in the post game presser QB D. Watson took ownership, showing the leader that he is. A team respects that. Since then, the Tigers seemed to be focused and if they possibly could've been looking past UL, the Cards beat down of FSU removed that thought.

The "Death Valley at night" talk is already so old, and to be honest one of my sports pet peeves in general. Clemson (and all other really good teams) win at home because they are better than the other team. Sure it doesn't hurt to be in front of friendly crowds, but the crowd doesn't decide the game.

Good teams win regardless of the atmosphere. If Clemson beats Louisville, it will be because they are a better team.

Clemson 38-35.

Clemson 38-35.

Like I always say, I'd rather get blown out.

Sorry, Deuce. If Louisville loses, it won't be by much.

It's all good... People usually think I'm crazy when I say that. For national perception and all that, of course a 3 point loss at Clemson would look much better than a blow out. But when games are close like that, I'm always convinced Louisville should have won.

Absolutely not. If there is a three-way tie atop the Atlantic come the end of the season, the ACC is going to use a privately-contracted formula to determine the representative to the championship game should normal tiebreakers fail. We don't know the details of that analytic, but a close road loss would probably not hurt us terribly.

Lots to happen between now and then, but anything you can do to stop from being behind the 8-ball is a good thing.
