September 25, 20169 yr I think Briles and Petrino have to be at the top of the wish list, don't know if they can get either. Why couldn't they get Briles?
September 25, 20169 yr Why couldn't they get Briles? I meant Fisher, not Briles...I don't see Jimbo leaving FSU.
September 25, 20169 yr LSU is a Tier 1 Job in my opinion, they should be able to hire just about anyone they want that isn't at a similar program. I think they will pay in the area of $4.5 to 5,000,000 per year for their next coach...that will open the eyes of a lot of coaches.
September 25, 20169 yr Petrino won't ever leave UL again. He may be a fool but not that big of a fool. Outside of loyalty to the AD, why should he not consider going to LSU? LSU has talent, can recruit elite talent and has unlimited resources...what they haven't had is a QB or the ability to develop one...Petrino's specialty.

Because UL can and will pay as much as LSU, has better facilities, and it's an easier path to get to the top through the ACC, most years. Not to mention, the pressure from fans and boosters at Louisville would be a fraction of what it is in Baton Rouge. Definitley a job to consider, but no real reason to go.
September 25, 20169 yr Except for that National Title in 2007, nine 9 win seasons out of 11, 11 straight Bowl Games and a 7-4 record in those bowl games...yeah except for that he couldn't win at LSU :lol2: Also 114-34 for .770. Higher win pct. than Saban and Arnsparger.
September 25, 20169 yr Submitting to the boosters. Exactly. You can't make the $$$$ more mad, so at least give them what they want.

I agree with most of that, UL better throw him some more money pretty soon then. I don't know if UL facilities are better than LSU's facilities, they are nice but LSU aint changing under the gym bleachers or practicing in a parking lot either.

I would put Louisville's facilities up against any in the country. If Petrino's team keeps performing the way it has so far, he will no doubt get more money from Louisville. He will have earned it.
September 25, 20169 yr Just announced it on halftime of Steelers and Eagles game on CBS. Only 2 hours behind BGP.
September 25, 20169 yr Will Bama cause coaches to pass? I don't know, I guess it depends on how long they think Saban (64) hangs around. All of the greats started to slip before finally leaving, Saban has to slip at some point too.
