September 27, 20169 yr Well I never said he had more talent at UofL, and I never guaranteed he would win a title. You could coach at LSU and never make the SEC championship game in your career, where as at Louisville you can play in the ACC Championship yearly if you establish your program. And yes, if you get to the Final Four, you have a MUCH better chance at winning it than if you don't make it. :lol2: You're kidding, right? IMO if lsu had Petrino they win a NT in the next 5 years. They were projected to be in the mix this year. I think people under estimate the level of talent they have every year. Les miles does less with more than any coach in the country. I hate Petrino but the dude can coach. Id coarse if they make the final 4 they have a better chance of winning it all vs not making it. Did I say different? I'm saying just because you make it doesn't mean they have a real chance of winning it.

No one in the Atlantic is playing in the ACC title every year. Louisville can win it, but they will never get to the point to where they beat Clemson and FSU every year. Too good of programs. Heck Bama doesn't even win their division every year.
September 27, 20169 yr If they want Briles, they should hire him right now. No need to wait, he's not doing anything. I lean towards him or Whittingham as the guy. Think he would be an under the radar HR hire. Devil's advocate here. Now I realize basketball is a completely different sport, but could Briles be in a position to pull a Bob Huggins and assemble great talent to go wherever he lands outside of NCAA oversight?
September 27, 20169 yr @Michael_Carvell Report: LSU to ‘gauge interest’ of Nick Saban, Urban Meyer Saban has said it is the easiest place in the country to recruit...
September 27, 20169 yr @Michael_Carvell Report: LSU to ‘gauge interest’ of Nick Saban, Urban Meyer All due respect to LSU, but they might want to go ahead and just start thinking about whoever the third choice is.
September 27, 20169 yr @Michael_Carvell Report: LSU to ‘gauge interest’ of Nick Saban, Urban Meyer All due respect to LSU, but they might want to go ahead and just start thinking about whoever the third choice is. "Report" is code word for "the camps of Nick Saban and Urban Meyer have released this non-sense so that Saban and Meyer will get another pay raise."
September 27, 20169 yr On top of the Urban Meyer and Nick Saban news, anonymous sources are telling me Bill Bellichick was spotted looking for houses in Baton Rouge this morning. LSU also plans to interview Bear Bryant, Vince Lombardi, and Phil Jackson (bringing the triangle offense to the NFL).
September 27, 20169 yr Honestly though, LSU is showing almost a Notre Dame level of arrogance thinking they are a better job than Alabama and Ohio State.
September 27, 20169 yr @Michael_Carvell Report: LSU to ‘gauge interest’ of Nick Saban, Urban Meyer They can test the interest of the two but do they have the kind of money it would take to make either one even consider it? 10 million a year? More?
September 27, 20169 yr I'm currently gauging the interest of Kylie Jenner and Kate Upton. I'll keep you guys posted.
September 27, 20169 yr They can test the interest of the two but do they have the kind of money it would take to make either one even consider it? 10 million a year? More? They have the money. That isn't the issue. Ohio State and Bama have just as much money and are better programs.
